If for some reason you choose to take bids from more than one contractor you should use the following guidelines.

• Provide a complete list of contractors bidding to all bidders.
• Construction bids should be limited to three qualified bidders.
• Provide each contractor five complete sets of plans.
• Provide each builder with your construction budget.
• Allow a minimum of two weeks for bid preparation.
• Bids should be opened together and bidders should be invited to the opening.
