The National Association of Home Builders With nearly 200,000 members, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is comprised of some 800 state and local builders associations around the country. These organizations range in size from a 10-member chapter in small communities to large metropolitan associations with over 2,500 members. The dedication and quality of NAHBÍs elected leadership has made it one of the most influential trade associations in the country.

NAHB provides its members with numerous services including, business management seminars, informative publications and library resources, governmental representation at the national level, industry education opportunities through the Home Builders Institute. National industry councils provide members with educational, technical and business management programs in specialized fields to expand their knowledge and expertise. Membership in the NAHB is available through membership in one of the councils or directly through the national council if not available locally.

The HomeBuilders Association of South Carolina represents builders before the General Assembly and state agencies. Members join together several times annually to meet with state officials and discuss housing industry issues with fellow builders from across the state. Each year the HBA sponsors the Bird Supper for members and legislators to not only present industry views to members of the legislature but to recognize those public officials who have worked with and supported the housing industry over the previous year.

The Home Builders Association of South Carolina endorses several cost savings programs for members who include workers' compensation insurance, health insurance and other programs.

Membership in the HBA of South Carolina is through on of the 19 local associations within the state.

Hilton Head is strong and it speaks for the housing industry in a strong voice.
